Foot Locker’s commercials are some of the best in the industry, and Jordan Brand representative Russell Westbrook is their latest star.
According to Westbrook, February is the month that Foot Locker releases all the best gear, highlighted by the 31st installment of the Air Jordan line. In this short, Russ is greeted by a fan to discuss some of his stats.
To date, there have been 25 triple-double tallied by the Brodie to bolster his incredible line of 30.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 10.2 assists. It’s been well documented that Westbrook is on his way to becoming the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for an entire season.
Those numbers are boring, and Westbrook cares more about wins than some silly metrics. Instead, Russ and the fan talk about some of the stats that we don’t see in the box score — including how Westbrook was single-handedly able to keep Vine alive for more than half-a-year.
He then went on to declare himself the best “Russell” ever to play in the NBA, but there was an 11-time champion who shot that down quickly.
