Global icon LeBron James is known for not just sticking to sports, and the King wasn’t implicit when talking about Charlottesville.
On Saturday, a Nazi rally broke out in Charlottesville, Virginia. (You can read my take on it here.) It’s been a breaking story and will remain one until the situation gets handled. Because of its magnitude, LeBron James isn’t going to miss the opportunity to use his platform for good.

James took a blatant shot at President Donald Trump and his “Make America Great Again” slogan. The best part is LeBron refusing to call Trump by name. James is the most recent athlete to speak about what happened Saturday, but his voice is going to be one that a lot of people will hear.

Not only does he boast more than 37 million Twitter followers, but James is also internationally recognized. One of the reasons he’s talked about alongside greats like Muhammad Ali and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is his social activism. LeBron never wants to stay silent on issues — especially when they pertain to racism.
