The New York Knicks are taking on the New Orleans Pelicans in the Garden, but Derrick Rose is nowhere to be seen.
Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported that no one — literally, no one — knows where the former MVP is. There was no report from Jeff Hornacek before tip-off that said Rose wouldn’t be active for the game, making this whole thing even more concerning. As always, we hope that everything is okay with Rose and his family and that the entire situation is less serious than expected.
Rose has suited up for 33 games this year and is averaging 17.3 points and 4.5 assists in a tick under 32 minutes a night.
He played just 26 minutes against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday and scored 14 points.
New York, 17-20 on the year, entered their contest on Monday just 1.5 games out of the eighth seed in the East.
ESPN’s Ian Begley also chimed in, saying the one official who reached out to Rose was unable to contact him.
According to Begley, Joakim Noah spoke to Rose following the Knicks’ loss and Rose said that he’s OK.
Joakim Noah says he's spoken to Derrick Rose after the game and that Rose is OK.
