John Wall is a wizard. And, yes, the pun was intended. Feast your eyes on how he violently tricks the Minnesota Timberwolves defense on this play.
During the second quarter of Friday night’s game, Wall showed everyone why he deserves to be in the conversation of NBA’s best point guard. He’s known for his blinding speed and ankle-shattering handles, but his ability to pass has improved tremendously over the years. Just ask Karl-Anthony Towns.

Towns is far from a defensive slouch and routinely switches out to guard smaller players on the perimeter. Wall, however, is a different beast. Not only did he turn Towns around, but he left Gorgui Dieng helpless. By the time he realized he had needed to help off Otto Porter, the pass was already delivered.
The game between the two has been wire-to-wire all night long and is shaping up to be one of the evening’s most entertaining contests.
